Addiction Recovery Support & Counselling, Online

Recovery is a sustained process. While initial phases such as detoxification or residential programmes provide essential structure, the subsequent months and years, focused on rebuilding, often lack comparable support. This service addresses that critical phase of the journey.

Intended Clients

  • Individuals in aftercare following residential or outpatient programmes.
  • Those in early recovery requiring ongoing guidance to maintain progress.
  • Long-term recoverers navigating life transitions or setbacks.
  • Partners, parents, adult children, and siblings of individuals in recovery.
  • Persons evaluating their relationship with alcohol, substances, or gambling.
  • Those addressing co-occurring issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief.

My approach

My practice adopts a non-judgmental, client-paced methodology. I do not impose shame or advocate specific frameworks. For clients engaged in 12-step programmes, SMART Recovery, or peer support groups, this counselling complements those efforts by providing a confidential space for sensitive topics.

Family members and partners are also welcome to process the effects of a loved one's addiction or recovery.

Focus Areas

  • Maintaining recovery amid stress, transitions, or grief.
  • Relapse prevention and pattern recognition.
  • Rebuilding familial and relational connections.
  • Addressing shame, regret, and consequences of past actions.
  • Rediscovering purpose, identity, and future direction.
  • Managing co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Supporting loved ones in their recovery journey.

Scope of Practice

This counselling is not a replacement for medical detoxification, residential treatment, or peer support groups such as 12-step or SMART Recovery. If you are experiencing active addiction with medical risks or require supervised withdrawal, please contact a clinical provider immediately. A complimentary consultation can clarify suitable options and facilitate appropriate referrals.
