Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-04-20
Last updated: 2026-04-20
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the wellnessco.co.za website. Using this site means you accept them. Separate counselling terms apply if you become a counselling client and are shared with you at that point.
2. Who we are
Therapy & Wellness is the private counselling practice of Denisha Kotze (operating at wellnessco.co.za), a Specialist Wellness Counsellor registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP number SWC24/5059), based in Stilbaai West, Western Cape, South Africa. Contact: [email protected].
3. Nature of the service
Counselling with Therapy & Wellness is a supportive counselling service within the scope of an ASCHP Specialist Wellness Counsellor. It is not psychology, psychiatry, or medical care. It is not a substitute for diagnosis, medication, or treatment from a registered medical professional.
The content on this website is for general information about the practice. It is not clinical advice for your particular situation, and reading it does not create a counselling or therapeutic relationship.
4. Not an emergency service
Counselling with us is not an emergency mental health service. If you are in a mental health crisis or need immediate help, please reach out to the services listed in our emergency notice at the bottom of the home page, to the SADAG Suicide Crisis Line 0800 567 567, or call emergency services on 112 from a mobile.
5. Fees, cancellations, and payment
These website terms govern your use of this site. The signed counselling-client consent form you complete before your first session governs the counselling relationship itself, including fees, cancellations, and confidentiality. Where the two differ, the signed consent form takes precedence for the counselling relationship.
Session fees are published on the home page and are confirmed at booking. Payment is due 5 days after the session unless arranged otherwise in writing.
The free 15-minute consultation is a one-off opportunity to meet before committing to sessions. It does not create an ongoing counselling relationship.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a session are not charged. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows may be charged in full.
Sessions start and end punctually. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the scheduled time and the full fee applies; no additional time is provided beyond the agreed slot.
This practice is not eligible to claim from medical aid. Clients are responsible for their own payment. Proof of payment can be sent to [email protected].
6. Use of the website
You agree not to:
- Use the site to interfere with or disrupt its availability or security.
- Submit the contact form with fraudulent, abusive, or spam content.
- Attempt to access areas or data that are not made public.
- Scrape or systematically copy content without our written permission.
7. Intellectual property
The content on this site, including the text, images, logo, and design, is the property of Therapy & Wellness or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may share links to the site and quote short passages with credit. Reproduction of substantial portions without written permission is not permitted.
8. Third-party links and content
The site may link to or embed third-party content, such as the OpenStreetMap location. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Therapy & Wellness and Denisha Kotze are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for matters that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
11. Complaints
We take concerns about our service seriously. If you are unhappy with something, please let us know by email at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 working days. All complaints are documented and handled confidentially.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, or the matter requires independent review, you may escalate the complaint to the ASCHP (Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners) at aschp.net. For privacy-specific complaints you may also contact the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
